Dear Friends,

Under certain circumstances it seems to be the case that the
midline of a fraction is shifted left somewhat even as recently
as Mozilla 1.7.

I've prepared a document containing a number of examples:

What I perceive as latency is colored in red. In every case it seems
that I can workaround it simply by enclosing the mfrac in an mrow,
i.e., making sure that mrow is its parent.

As part of the ongoing inter-spacing improvements, I have attached a
patch to address the remaining special cases (including this particular
one) on bug 308045:
